As promised, HMD Global has just launched its latest entry-level smartphone Nokia 2.2 in India at starting price of just Rs. 6,999. The phone packs MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, 3000mAh battery, 2/3GB of RAM and Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Nokia 3.2 was the last phone from the company with Helio P22 SoC launched in India last month. Nokia 9.0 Pure view with five rear cameras was also expected to launch today at the same event, but still no information about it.
The phone comes with a dedicated Google Assistant button and dedicated MicroSD card slot. Talking about the design of the phone, Back panel is made of reflected finish Polycarbonate material along with its volume rockers and power buttons. Front side, it has 5.7-inch water-drop notch display with 720 x 1520 pixels resolutions, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is protected with the 2.5D curved glass screen on it.
Under the hood, it is powered by 2.2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor coupled with PowerVR GE class graphics. For storage, it comes with two variations – 2/16GB and 3/32GB RAM and internal storage respectively. Internal storage is expandable up to 400GB with external dedicated MicroSD card support.

On the connectivity front, the Nokia 2.2 offers dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS + GLONASS. To keep its light on, it is powered with 3000mAh battery.

eThe phone comes in Steel and Tungsten Black color options. It is priced at Rs. 6,999 for 2/16GB and Rs. 7,999 for 3/32GB variant. Please note that the price is only for a limited period of time, till June 30th, 2019, after it will increase. It is already available for pre-order from Nokia.com and will go on sell on 11th June from Nokia.com, Flipkart and preferred offline retail stores.
