I’ve enjoyed using the Galaxy S23 Ultra since its release, but the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 has won me over. Here’s why I made the switch:
1. Superior Display Brightness

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a fantastic display, but the Z Fold 6’s internal 7.6-inch screen reaches a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, compared to the S23 Ultra’s 1,750 nits. This significant increase is ideal for outdoor use, and the larger screen is a great bonus.
2. Faster On-board Memory
While both phones feature LPDDR5X memory, the Z Fold 6 comes with 12GB of RAM as standard, versus the 8GB in my S23 Ultra. Additionally, the Fold 6’s memory has a higher clock speed of 4800MHz, providing a noticeable performance boost, which is crucial for my work demands.
3. Eye-Catching Design

The Crafted Black color of the Z Fold 6, an online exclusive for pre-orders, is a major draw for me. Its unique, carbon fiber-like appearance stands out, making the phone not only a high-performance device but also a stylish one.
Additionally, Samsung’s trade-in offer of $800 for my S23 Ultra was too good to pass up. This deal, available until the pre-order window closes on July 24, made the upgrade even more appealing.
Final Thoughts
The Galaxy Z Fold 6’s combination of enhanced display, improved memory, and stunning design convinced me to make the switch. If you’re considering an upgrade, the Z Fold 6 offers compelling reasons to take the plunge.
