Xiaomi has just launched a new budget-friendly smartphone with Snapdragon 625 SoC called Xiaomi Redmi S2 in China. The company has already launched Xiaomi Mi 6X – a mid-ranger device last month. Now the company has expanded its budget series with Redmi S2 in China. It comes with Red, Gold and Pink color option in China.
Coming to its specs, Xiaomi Redmi S2 comes with a 5.99-inch full-view display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolutions and 18:9 screen-to-display aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with an Octa-Core processor. For storage, it has 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage with up to 256GB expandable storage option.
Talking to its camera department, it sports 12MP primary sensor on the rear side coupled with the 5MP secondary shooter in verticle position along with LED flash. Front side it offers 16MP selfie shooter. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based on MIUI 9. To keep its light on it is powered with 3000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS.
Xiaomi Redmi S2 with 3GB/32GB variant costs CNY 999 (roughly Rs 10,600), while the phone with 4GB/64GB variant costs CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 13,700).
